Internship in Finance


This course provides the students with practical knowledge of finance and corporate sector treasury management in order to apply conceptual and theoretical aspects in real work setting. Internship placement as found by the students will be approved by the department subject to the department guide lines. The academic staff of the department reviews their progress on regular basis. The practical knowledge standard reached by students will be tested in an interview that will be held at the end of semester.

The department of finance expects the internship sponsor to have an organized program of work and learning that will enable the student intern to understand the business’ financial practices, procedures and policies and the manner in which they influence the success of the business. Doing research, writing reports, gathering and analyzing data and attending meetings or seminars, in addition to the hands on experience and participation in the activities of the firm that is central to the internship may accomplish these objectives.
